Mercedes Benz India will soon add yet another model to its performance oriented AMG range of cars in India, CLA45 AMG. The four door sports coupe will be positioned below GL 63 AMG and ML63 AMG SUVs (in terms of price) that are already available for sale in India. A hypothetical price ranging between Rs 60 lakh to Rs 70 lakh is being expected for the new CLA45 AMG.
It has been learnt that the new CLA45 AMG could be launched in India by the end of July. With the launch happening in July, deliveries are expected to begin effective August. Dealers have already started accepting bookings for the new CLA45 AMG at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Aimed at the young buyers, the CLA45 AMG has been styled to woo the younger lot. Powering the jaw-dropping coupe is a 2.0 litre, twin turbo 4-cylinder engine that belts out a maximum power output of 360 PS along with a top torque of 450 Nm.
The 2.0 litre engine is mated to a 7G-DCT automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system is also equipped in the vehicle allowing it to be compatible on all kinds of road surfaces. Mercedes’ high on performance CLA45 AMG sprints from 0 to 100 kmph within 4.6 seconds and achieves a curbed top speed of 250 kmph courtesy the robust 2.0 litre twin turbo 4-cylinder engine. The vehicle will not just compete with cars like Audi S4 in terms of performance but will also gun straight against the likes of luxury sedans and SUVs in terms of price.
With the induction of couple of vehicles under the AMG range in India of late requirement for AMG centres in India rose. Presently, Mercedes Benz has AMG centres in three major cities in India-Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
