Maruti Suzuki Baleno bookings begin on 14th October, 2015

Potential customers looking forward to drive home this festive season need to wait longer. As revealed by sources, Maruti Suzuki has formally announced the commencement of bookings for Baleno hatchback across the country on 14th October, 2015. Interested customers can book one with a booking amount of about Rs 11,000. The company shall also launch the facelifted version of popular MPV Ertiga on 15th of this month. The diesel version would get mild hybrid inputs and along with automatic transmission.

The upcoming Maruti Baleno is available in petrol and diesel engine option. The petrol trim would be powered by 1.2-Litre engine, whereas the diesel would be powered by 1.3-Litre engine. The hatchback would be sold via Nexa outlets in the country and compete against the Hyundai's Elite i20 and the recently launched Jazz in the country. The hatchback would be offered in four trim levels - Delta, Sigma, Zeta and Alpha.

Some of the standard features that would be offered in Baleno are - dual front airbags, central locking, front power windows, gear shift indicator, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and anti-lock braking system (ABS) would be offered as standard. The top-end model in addition comes with touchscreen SmartPaly system, reverse parking camera and projector headlights. The vehicle would be available in interesting shades of Ray Blue, Granite Grey, Premium Urban Blue, Autumn Orange, Metallic Premium Silver, Solid Fire Red, and Pearl Arctic White. It is likely to be priced between Rs 6.0 to 9.0 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
