Joining the long list of carmakers who have gone ahead with an upward revision in prices starting this month, Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices across all its models by up to 12,000. While the average hike in ex-showroom prices for most of Maruti’s line-up ranges between Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000, the Baleno premium hatch is dearer by up to Rs 12,000. Nonetheless, prospective buyers for Maruti’s premium crossover, the S-Cross can still find heavy discounts on the vehicle.

Maruti Suzuki’s next big launch will come in the form of the Brezza compact SUV. Set to compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300, the Brezza will be unveiled at next month’s Auto Expo and will be positioned below the S-Cross.
