The new compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki, the Vitara Brezza, has received 20,000 bookings within two weeks of the launch. The company will start deliveries of the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 rival from March 23.
The sub-four metre SUV has received plenty since its unveiling at the Auto Expo in February. The company launched the compact SUV with a competitive price starting Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-Delhi), which forced Ford to drop the price of the EcoSport by almost Rs 1.2 lakh. The Vitara Brezza is available in total of six variants, all powered by the same 1.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 89bhp and 200Nm of torque.
Commenting on the milestone, R S Kalsi, Executive Director (marketing & sales) said, "We are delighted at customers' response to Vitara Brezza. They have appreciated it for its sporty and muscular design and the combination of features offered at multiple trim levels. Our endeavour now is to deliver these cars quickly so that customers can enjoy their Vitara Brezza."
