Maruti is gearing up for Ciaz sedan launch in India which is slated to happen next month. The sedan has been caught on lens several times being tested across the country. Sources opine that MSI has also commenced production of Ciaz at its manufacturing facility located in Manesar, Haryana. Bookings are expected to begin by end of this month ahead of Ciaz’s official launch. While Maruti is getting ready to unleash its new product in India, fresh details have emerged about the sedan.
It is expected that Ciaz will have three trim levels each in petrol and diesel guise including- Vxi, VXi+,ZXi (petrol range) and VDi, VDi+ and ZDi (diesel range). Rumour has it that Maruti has equipped projector head lights which will be offered as a standard feature across its range. Basic trims will be bestowed with features such as rear AC vents, driver arm rest, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, an integrated music system and a two-tone colour scheme inside the cabin.
Besides these features the mid-level trim will get additional equipments like steering mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors, ABS, height adjustable driver’s seat and foglights. High-end variants will come incorporated with exquisite features like 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic AC, dual airbags, engine starter button, automatic day/night rear view mirror and a 5-inch infotainment system.
In C sedan segment, Ciaz will compete with the likes of new Honda City introduced in India early this year in January, Hyundai Verna that has been leading the segment for last three years until new City was launched, new Fiat Linea and upgraded Nissan Sunny. A hypothetical price ranging between Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10.5 lakh is being expected for the sedan.
