Mahindra & Mahindra, the country's leading utility vehicle maker, has been recently acknowledged by two coveted titles; one for its much appreciated XUV500 model and the other on for its corporate brand positioning. The titles were presented to the auto maker by the Pitch Brands 50 Awards 2013 for its top quality marketing. At the event, XUV500 was offered with the Buzzy Brand award for its immense popularity among the country's youth. Interestingly, the auto maker was also acknowledged for its Mahindra - Rise campaign in the category of rechargers for re-working its professional identity and having the potential gain a strong market share.

Expressing his views on the Recharger Award for Mahindra, the Senior General Manager for Corporate Brand Management, Mahindra & Mahindra, B. Karthik was quoted as saying, “This award gives us tremendous satisfaction as it validates our continued focus on building a strong corporate brand. Moreover, what makes this recognition even more special is the fact that all the competing brands are quite well known, successful and noteworthy in their own right. Our brand positioning – expressed by the word Rise represents a new chapter in the history of this iconic brand and we are pleased to be recognized for it.”

Powered by Exchange 4 media group, the programme acknowledged the top 50 entities in the list of 120 brands, across various segments. There were a number of categories like Resurgent Brands, Rechargers, Globetrotters, Social Marketers, Marketing Innovators, Impactful Launches, Ageless Brands, Bottom of Pyramid, Bang for the Buck and Buzzy Brands.

Speaking on the achievement of XUV500, the Chief Marketing Officer (Automotive Division) at Mahindra and Mahindra, Vivek Nayer, said, “We believe that with the XUV500 we have created a strong brand that appeals to its customers and engages with its fans. Going forward, we will continue to set new benchmarks of excellence to take this brand to new heights.”
