Sources have revealed that Mahindra and Mahindra has silently announced recall of TUV300 AMT variant for an ECU update. It is said that the company has addressed the issue with a software upgrade post receiving complaints by customers over issues with transmission and engine that was affecting the drivability. Since the upgrade has worked well, the company has silently announced a recall across the country for upgrades in the TUV300 AMT.
As per issues reported by one TUV300 AMT customer to sources, the vehicle jerked during shifting gears, engine occasionally revved to 4,000rpm before shifting, creep function would activate around 30 seconds later after braking and the engine speed reportedly dropped while shifting from 4th to 5th gear. The vehicle gets a 1.5-litre three-cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine that generates about 84bhp of power and 230Nm of torque.
