      Mahindra Jeeto (P601) launching on June 24, 2015

      Mahindra has officially confirmed that it will launch the Mahindra Jeeto (codenamed ‘P601’) LCV on June 24, 2015. The production of the Jeeto will take place at the company’s new Zaheerabad plant. Though, the first product to be rolled out from this facility will be the sub-Maxximo Plus cargo carrier. Mahindra has invested Rs. 250 crores for the development and extension of this manufacturing facility.

      Powering the Jeeto LCV will be an all-new m_Dura Direct Injection (DI) diesel engine that claimed to offer refined performance and fuel efficiency. The vehicle is based on an-all new platform, and has a payload capacity between 600kgs – 700kgs. The LCV might get features like a dashboard mounted gearlever, a music system and a mobile phone charging socket. It will be borrowed some equipment from the Maxximo. Coming to the design, the Jeeto will sport a dumb bell shaped headlamps, attached by a pseudo grille wearing the signature logo.

      Upon its launch, the Mahindra Jeeto will take on the Tata Ace Zip and others in the segment. Additionally, the home-grown automaker is also working on a heavy-duty version of the Maxximo Plus that will rival the Tata Super Ace. Both these products will help the company increase its market share in the growing LCV segment.
