      Mahindra Group Chairman felicitated by FADA for lifetime contribution in automotive market

      On 25th May 2012, Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) recognised Chairman, Mahindra Group, Keshub Mahindra, with a Lifetime Contribution Award. The award was presented by a team of FADA members led by FADA president, Nikunj Sanghi, to Mahindra in person at Mahindra Towers on May 22, 2012.

      New milestones are being achieved by indigenous car makers like Mahindra & Mahindra each day. Supported by the ever-growing domestic auto component industry, local companies have grown to challenge and match the technological and financial strength of leading companies across globe. Mahindra was honoured by the FADA award, as a division of the auto business value chain, in light of his priceless contribution to the expansion, development and success of Indian automotive sector.

      Nikunj Sanghi commented on the occasion, “Thanks to his vision, determination and pioneering efforts, the Indian growth story is making waves all over the world. The Indian auto retail market owes a lot to Mr. Keshub Mahindra for the leadership and direction provided over the years.” Bharat M. Sanghvi, Rakesh Jain, Vinay Nevatia and Jayendra Kachalia, who are all former presidents of the FADA, were part of the team that presented the award to the business tycoon.

      The chief national body of automobile dealers, FADA was founded in the year 1964. Dealers who are engaged in sale, service and spares of 2- and 3-wheelers, passenger cars and UVs, commercial vehicles (including buses and trucks) and tractors in the country form FADA. With 24 associations of automobile dealers at the regional, state and city levels, the organisation boasts of 1500 member and makes up more than 75 per cent of retail automobile business in the country.
