Mahindra’s new Genio has been spotted without any camouflage. This new commercial vehicle has been spotted somewhere in Telangana. It doesn’t look anything like the Xylo with which it shares its platform. The previous Genio was a Xylo twin.

The new Genio gets a new front grille with silver highlights and a new-set of headlamps that makes it look aggressive. The Genio’s looks have changed a lot and this new commercial vehicle does look a lot more stylish than before. The spy shots even reveal the new blue colour this commercial vehicle will be made available in. The front does look a lot sharper than before and the crowned hood only adds to its visual appeal.

The Genio facelift will be powered by the 2.5-litre mDI CRDe engine that will churn about 75bhp of power and 220Nm of peak torque. This new pick-up truck is likely to get Mahindra’s start-stop micro-hybrid technology to improve the fuel efficiency. For exports, the Genio comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 120bhp and 280Nm and is available with two and four wheel drive options. India however only gets 2WD.
