M&M kicks off 4th edition of Auto Quiz throughout the country

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M) announced the commencement of its 4th edition Mahindra Auto Quotient (AQ) on September 3, 2012. This is a unique quiz for auto enthusiasts, inviting various engineering and management colleges of India, which will be organised in 24 different cities of the country.

Rajeshwar Tripathi, Chief People Officer, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, M&M, said, “We had started the Mahindra Auto Quotient with the aim of providing young auto enthusiasts with a platform to build and share their knowledge and passion about automobiles. It has been heartening to witness the growing popularity of Mahindra AQ over the years. We also hope that Mahindra AQ will further inculcate, nurture and promote the young and promising talent available in the engineering colleges and business schools of India to consider the automotive industry as an exciting career option.”

Regional finals will be followed by the Grand National finale, which is scheduled for October 2012. The entire event will be hosted by NDTV Auto-Editor and Senior Anchor, Siddharth Vijay Patankar.

Interesting prizes are on offer through this quiz. Winners of the Grand Finale will get an all paid trip to visit the 'Geneva International Auto Show'- the largest motoring exhibition of the world. The 1st runner up will get an all paid trip to visit the Qatar MotoGP and will also get an opportunity to meet the entire Mahindra Racing team. The 2nd and 3rd runner ups will be allowed to participate in the 'Mahindra Great Escape', an adventurous off road rally organised every year. Other exciting prizes with a total worth of Rs. 6.5 lacs can be won and some students would also get a chance to work with M&M.

Through this quiz, the company is looking ahead to realise the potential of young auto enthusiasts. M&M's AQ has been testing the mettle of students since 2009, when it received tremendous response from various engineering colleges of the country. Following the success, in 2010, B-schools were also included in the competition. The AQ quiz aired on NDTV 24x7 received the prestigious Indian Television award for the Best Quiz in 2010, with Regional and National finals generating a viewership of 20 lacs in 2011.
