Lexus recently introduced the LX500d in India with a price tag of Rs 2.82 crore (ex-showroom). The deliveries for the same will commence in early 2023. The flagship SUV from the brand could be displayed at the Auto Expo 2023 along with the upcoming RX SUV.
Like the Land Cruiser, the LX500d gets a massive front chrome grille with horizontal slats, flanked by LED headlamps that house four projector LEDs with integrated DRLs. Apart from this, it also gets square wheel arches, 22-inch alloy wheels, a kinked window line, and a top-hinged back door with split tail lamps adjoined by an illuminated light bar.
Inside, the cabin gets a choice of four options to choose from including Hazel, Black, Crimson, and a combination of White and Dark Sepia. The cabin is now revamped with a dual-screen setup, a 12.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four-zone climate control, powered front seats, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and rear seat entertainment seats.
Under the hood lies a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine producing 304bhp and 700Nm of torque which comes mated with a ten-speed automatic gearbox. It gets an all-wheel drive as standard, along with multi-terrain mode for off-roading. There are no petrol engine options as of now.
