B U Bhandari, a Pune based dealer of one of the country’s largest luxury car makers Mercedes Benz concluded its two-day long car exhibition in Kolhapur on Sunday with applauding response from buyers. More than 100 businessmen took a test drive of different Mercedes Benz cars on the occasion out of which 60 showed their interest in buying the car on the first day of the exhibition, which was held at Residency Club on Saturday.
Industrialists and businessmen from Kolhapur resolved to buy as many as 250 Mercedes-Benz cars through mass booking, during this exhibition. Professionals including engineers, doctors, farmers and industrialists, from across the city have already made primary bookings for over 180 Mercedes Benz cars.
The event was organized in association with Kolhapur Chambers of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), Gokul Shirgaon Manufacturing Association, Kolhapur Engineering Association, Shiroli Manufacturers Association and Manufacturing Association of Kagal.
Speaking on the occasion, KCCI president Anant Mane said, “Kolhapur citizens are amongst the greatest motorists in the country, where even the smallest cars are also well-maintained. Mercedes-Benz has always fascinated us. With this effort we wish to offer some more benefits to the car buyers.”
The models that were put on display in the exhibition include Mercedes Benz C-Class, E-Class, ML-Class, S-Class and GL-Class. “We are discussing a concessional loan scheme for car buyers with the State Bank of India and Axis Bank. Besides, a cheap and flexible car insurance option is also being discussed with a few insurance companies,” Mr. Mane added.
