Karun Chandhok, the Indian wonder boy and race driver for the JRM Racing team, notched up his best season finish in the FIA World Endurance Championship, when he took the second position at the Six Hours of Fuji in Japan on October 16, 2012. The Indian racing exponent finished second in the privateers' class and an overall fifth in the race.

The morale boosting win for the JRM Racing team and the Indian racing sensation came behind the wheels of the #22 HPD ARX-03a car, which was also driven by Peter Dumbreck and David Brabham, apart from Chandhok. The high point of the race for Karun Chandhok was that he managed the team's quickest lap of the race at just 1 minute and 30.907 seconds, after being plagued by an extra pit stop due to the damaged rear end of the car. The incredible finish earned the JRM Racing team a solid platform to consummate its successes for the season, as the final and eighth race is due to take place in China within two weeks.

Expressing his delight with the Six Hours of Fuji results, Karun Chandhok said, "Great to be on the podium. It was a good race and finishing for the team was a fantastic feeling, particularly as it’s our best finish of the season so far. I had a bit of contact with the Audi and there was a bit of bodywork damage but apart from that we were reasonably quick. We do need a little bit more pace to finish ahead of the Rebellion-we stick with them at some parts of the race and only need a little bit more to get ahead. It’s nice to get a trophy for the boys, and it’s very positive for us and for the team moral. I’m very pleased after a couple of hard weekends in Brazil and Bahrain, and hopefully we can finish the season strongly in China.”
