The soon-to-be launched vehicle became an instant crowd favourite when it was showcased at the New Delhi Auto Expo held in January 2012. The latest SUV coming from the stables of Tata Motors boasts of state-of-the-art interior and exterior attributes, which complemented its futuristic appeal and helped it in enthralling the domestic audience at the exposition.

Reportedly, the soon-to-be launched 2012 Safari Storme derives its suspension system, chassis and diesel motor from its elder brother Tata Aria Crossover, which entails the new SUV to possess a segment defining performance in both on-road and off-road situations. Coming to under the hood configuration, the Tata Safari Storme comes trimmed with a 2.2 litre common rail DiCOR engine, similar to the one installed in Aria crossover.

The launch of Safari Storme seems like an exciting prospect for the domestic SUV scenario and Tata Motors is most definitely aspiring to reconquer its lost ground on the home turf. Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (M&M) is currently the market leader in SUV segment of the Indian auto market and the arrival of Safari Storme could intensify the rivalry between the two Utility Vehicle (UV) giants by a huge margin.
