Following the roll out of the new D-Max V-Cross at the newly built manufacturing facility in SriCity, Andhra Pradesh, Isuzuhas announced some major production expansion plans.

According to the brand’s Managing Director Naohiro Yamaguchi, the SriCity facility currently has an annual production capacity of 50,000 units that can be later increased to 120,000 units.
In its current market state, Isuzu obviously cannot aim for such a high figure; however, the brand is looking to open up to new markets in the next two to three years. The new production facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of 50,000 units in the next three years. Currently, Isuzu is making their range of D-Max pick-ups at the new facility with 70 per cent localisation level which will eventually be stepped up for better economies of scale.
