Indian automobile companies are gearing up their latest models to comply with the Euro IV and Euro V norms. Most of the domestic automobile companies like Mahindra are equipping their latest car models with the new and next generation engines to explore the new markets in Europe and the US. They are also preparing their latest models with the stringent emissions norms to compete in the markets that are growing more eco-friendly.

Maruti Suzuki commenced its latest K-series engine plant in Gurgaon. The K-series engine will mark its presence for the first time in the upcoming model, Maruti A- Star, slated for a launch in next few days in November.

Hyundia also aims to launch its new models in Europe equipped with its Kappa engine. Its new engine will power its most popular models, the Hyundai i10. The i10 has witnessed a growing popularity in the overseas market owing to its engine delivering superior performance and eco-friendly characteristics. Hyundai banks upon its exports figures to keep up the sales. It has already exported 65000 i10s from India out of its target of about 1.5 lakh cars including Santro models.
