Everyone in the auto industry seems suddenly very busy this June. Car buyers are making constant inquiries about the new launches on the internet and the dealers are busy setting up their showrooms while auto manufacturers are busy to make their model launches picture perfect.
Honda, Fiat, Tata Motors and Audi are the main auto giants that are humming with activity from their factory shop floor to the dealer showrooms. The series of launches begins with Audi Q5 on June 5, Honda Jazz is set to launch on June 10, Fiat Grand Punto is lined up next for its launch on June 17 and Tata Indigo Vista will be the last launch of the month. Fiat Grand Punto will roll out from Fiat’s Ranjangaon manufacturing unit which also currently manufactures Fiat Linea. Audi Q5 will be an imported model available as a CBU.
By June end, India will have witness 7 new car launches and equal number of revamped model of existing ones. This makes nearly two cars each month which is a record in Indian auto history. Did someone mention recession?
