Being one of the largest automakers in the world, Hyundai take timely steps to improve their performance and increase the number of satisfied customers. In the need to live up to expectations, they launched an N performance sub-brand named after the company’s Namyang R&D facility in South Korea. It has been said that this brand name would be provided for the company’s high-performance cars.
Since the launch of this division in 2013, it has been just a few cars that were able to achieve this brand name, the i20 WRC being the first one. i20 WRC also participated in the 2014 WRC season. Now the company is planning to expand this horizon by launching a new car that deserves to be kept in the category of N version. This new vehicle is their high-performance i30.
A few leaked pictures of this new i30 have shown a thinly camouflaged front bumper, extra gauges on the dashboard along with a lowered suspension system. The new hatchback is being tested at Nurburgring, Germany.
Michel Nandan, the WRC boss of Hyundai, confirmed the introduction of N brand of the company to the division of road cars, thus expanding the horizon for achieving further growth. It is also being said that this new i30 will have the WRC-derived technology of turbocharging, followed by a strong suspension system and a sturdy engine.
This new i30 with the N brand is expected to give a stiff competition to the leading vehicles in the market including the 345 bhp Ford Focus RS and 296 bhp Volkswagen Golf R. The R&D team is still working on the engine and hence, the output capacity is yet undetermined. Rest assured the vehicle will be enough to lead the market and set a new market trend.
In other latest trends of Hyundai, the R&D team is also working on launching a high-performance and better than before version of i20 hatchback. It is expected that this new and improved i20 will be launched after the N branded i30 strikes the market and creates a lead.
