Honda that launched the Vezel crossover has now launched the Chinese spec XR-V compact SUV. The XRV compact SUV price in China starts at 127,800 yuan (INR 12.9 Lakhs) for base model and 162,800 yuan (INR 16.44 lakh) for top-spec model.

The Honda XR-V is basically a slightly tweaked version of the Vezel crossover aka HR-V. It is also the cheaper version that is why we believed that this model could make its way to the Indian car market. The front fascia of the SUV features a newly formulated grille flanked by new headlamps. Its restyled bumper accommodates wide air dam, foglight and indicator enclosures. At the back, the XR-V compact SUV is equipped with LED tail lamps that extend across the width of the car and new tailgate.

The company has also cut down the overall length, and it now measures 4,270mm in length with 24mm shorter than the Vezel. The overall width and height stands at 1,772mm and 1,605mm, respectively, while the wheelbase measures at 2,610mm. The cabin of the XR-V gets slightly cheaper dashboard with plain plastic components. It misses out on features like floating center tunnel, leather trims for dashboard and door trims, leather upholstery and others.

The Honda XR-V compact SUV is also available in two petrol engine options. The base model gets 1.5-litre petrol unit, while the top-end model has 1.8-litre unit. A five-speed manual will come as standard, while the CVT gearbox will be offered as an optional.
