      Honda Plans to launch two new bikes and 1000 touch-points this year

      During the 13th Annual Business Meet of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt, Ltd. the company proclaimed its plans for the current fiscal. The meeting was held in Honda’s home ground, Japan, among the new plans chalked out for financial year 2014-2015, new launches, network expansion and new sales target were set for the year.

      HMSI witnessed strong growth in fiscal year 2013-2014 and it eyes replicating the success in fiscal 2014-2015. The company proclaimed its plans to launch two new products this year which includes a motorcycle that is most likely to be a new addition to the Dream Series. The second product from HMSI stable will be a new 160cc motorcycle that will be built aiming at youngsters. These two new motorcycles are expected to be launched in India by second quarter.

      The second major point on HMSI’s agenda for the current year is network expansion, Mr. Y. S Guleria, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, HMSI confirmed that the company aims at adding 1000 new touch-points taking the total number of touch-points to 3800 by the end of current FY 2014-2015.

      Apart from the new launches and network expansion, the company at its 13th annual business meet also discussed about the increased sales target for the current year. HMSI has set the target at 45 lakh unit sales for the current year, Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President CEO, HMSI, said that "I am confident that propelled by 3 new launches including the Activa 125 and aggressive network expansion, Honda will meet expectations of its valued customers in India."
