World's most prominent luxury car-maker Rolls Royce has reportedly been working on much talked about SUV version. British marque’s design studios has been roped in to breathe life into this dream concept. Giles Taylor has declined the possibility of the vehicle being designed as a crossover, he said, "I am interested in function and functionality. I’m looking to create a properly functional vehicle - a shooting brake, not a crossover with a sloping roof. A proper SUV."

The anticipated SUV is expected be based on Rolls-Royce Ghost clan and not Phantom as believed by fans. If launched, the vehicle is expected to be a hit in the Chinese Automobile market. Taylor said, “Many customers are now Chinese entrepreneurs - savvy and self-made with a young spirit. They might be as young as 30 years old and are very interested in authenticity, Chinese heritage and prestige.”

The Rolls Royce SUV has yet to receive a final nod to begin production at a mass scale. When launched, the SUV may come at an upward price tag of 200,000 pounds. Speaking more on the interiors Taylor added, “In the future, the key words will be ‘cool’ and ‘modern’. It will retain aspects of the current interior but will remain luxurious and a sanctuary. We are not talking about ostentation.”
