      Honda Motors CEO, Takanobu Ito steps down after six years of service

      Fresh updates from Japan's third largest carmaker Honda Motors has announced that CEO Takanobu Ito has resigned from his services and would end his term sometime by the end of June this year. Ito has served the company for about 6 years and post stepping down from his service, however he shall continue to serve the company as an advisor.

      55 year old Takahiro Hachigo would is currently serving as the Managing Officer in the company shall soon take over as new President and Chief executive for the company. Last year in October, Honda had called for a fifth recall of Fit Hybrid car over a software glitch. The series of quality issues have indeed affected the company's plans on launching new models in the automobile market.

      Hachigo had been a part of Honda since 1982, when he had joined the company as an engineer and held vital positions in research, development and purchasing departments. Between 2004 to 2006, Hachigo has served the US markets and before being appointed as Vice President of a Honda subsidiary in China he has also held the post of Vice President and Director at Honda Motor Europe between 2012 and 2013.
