      Honda inaugurates $35 Million Training and Heritage Center in Ohio

      Honda has been one of the most preferred brands in the global automotive market. With an aim to further strengthen its brand presence in India, the group has reportedly invested about $35 million in the development of Marysville plant that shall have training and research facilities for technicians across North America region.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Takuji Yamada, COO of Honda’s North American regional operations, said, “The new Honda Heritage Center is a collection of Honda dreams in the form of products that are responsible for millions of customer relationships. The great variety of products on display -- including power sports, power equipment and automobiles, as well as aviation and robotics -- together with the major milestones highlighted, tell the stories of Honda associates in Ohio and from throughout North America.”

      Named as 'Honda Heritage Center', the project is spread across 160,000-square-foot and has about five classrooms along with specially designed robotic cells that has been designed to give technicians a more hands-on experience. The facility will train resources on about 107 different technology types. Speaking more on the occasion, Tom Shoupe, Honda America Chief Operating Officer, said, “If you look at the track record and what we have been able to accomplish here with community partnerships and associates, I think you can see that we are investing for the future in Ohio. Not just in this training and development center but also in our operations. We are investing and trying to grow and apply technologies that will allow us to be competitive for a long time.”
