We all know that Toyota has been testing the next generation Innova MPV, which is scheduled to be unveiled next year. The next Innova is expected to enter into production line by mid-2015, while the Indian launch is likely by festive season 2015. It is expected that the next-gen model will feature a better looking exteriors and comfortable interior. Moreover, the mechanics of the car have been revised and the vehicle will be a more refined version of the current model.
The overall styling gets significant makeover, thanks to its new ladder on frame platform which replaces the older monocoque architecture. Expect a more robust and aggressive front fascia. The front fascia of the MPV is expected to get a new grille flanked by LED daytime running lamps. It is also likely to get projector headlamps, which we have already seen on the new Corolla Altis. The new bumper, new airdam and fog lamps will also make their way to the new MPV. The next Innova will be longer than the current model, but the overall height and width of the car remains unaltered. Its third row seat section will be longer than its predecessor, which makes it spacious.
The interiors of the next Innova MPV are expected to feature new upholstery for seats and new dashboard layout. The spacious cabin will be equipped with lot more gizmos to play with. The next MPV will be equipped with a new diesel engine, which will offer better NVH levels and efficiency than the current model. If reports are to be believed, the vehicle might also get automatic transmission version.
