Honda Amaze diesel facelift expected to further boost its sales in India next year

Honda Amaze sedan made its debut in the country last year in the month of April and since then there has been no looking back for the Japanese carmaker. To support this claim the recent sales report state that about 96,000 units were sold in the country since its launch. A while ago, speaking more on car's success, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Living up its positioning in the market, Honda Amaze has certainly changed many lives with one car. Honda Amaze has been a game changer in its segment and has enabled HCIL to reach out to so many new customers, bringing them into the Honda fold. It is Honda’s constant endeavor to provide freshness to our products and create excitement in the market.”

The Honda Amaze sedan is available in petrol and diesel variants. The Petrol version is powered by 1.2 Litre i-VTEC engine that generates power of about 88 Ps with 109 Nm of torque. The diesel version is powered by 1.5 Litre i-DTEC engine that generates about 100 Ps of power and 200 Nm of Torque. Honda Amaze test drive by ARAI has stated that the sedan delivers a fuel efficiency of around 25.8 kmpl.

As per a recent update Honda has been working to reduce NVH levels (Noise Vibration Harshness) in diesel powered Amaze that has been a matter of criticism by customers. Besides reduced NVH levels, the sedan will sport minor exterior and interior changes. Amaze’s facelift version slated to come next year will come infused with increased sound deadening material to curb noisy sound. Other than this, injection timing will also be modified for improved overall refinement.

The interior in Amaze is elegant and spacious, whereas the exterior looks smart and charming with well crafted chrome grille, beautifully shaped tail lamps and front fog lamps. The Honda Amaze comes with ample amount of boot space that can hold the entire luggage that shall be needed during a trip. “Earth's Dream Technology” has laid strong foundation to a new line of aluminum based engine under its hood. Moreover, the Amaze sedan has been widely acknowledged in many of test drive reviews, which ended with a positive note in the end. Safety of the occupants has also been given vital importance by the Japanese car-maker. The car boasts of some of the interesting safety features like – Engine immobilizer, Front Seat Belt Pre-tensioner with load Limiter, Driver Seat Belt Reminder, WAVE Key, High Mount Stop Lamp, ABS with EBD and Front Dual SRS Airbags. Driving within the city traffic or cruising on the highway at high speeds, this compact 4 meter sedan has been designed to handle it with perfection.
