Under the hood, the 2018 Ford EcoSport Storm is powered by a 2.0-litre Direct Flex engine that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which powers all-four wheels. The petrol version generates about 168bhp of power and 202Nm of torque, while the diesel version generates 174bhp of power and 221Nm of torque respectively. The Strom variant of the EcoSport is believed to be heavier by 110kgs at 1469kgs than the regular model due to the addition of a four-wheel drive system. Moreover, the company claims that the suspension system has been revised to offer 15 per cent improvement in shock absorption and considerable reduction in steering wheel vibration.
