The muscle beast Mustang from Ford has been ruling the tarmac on American tarmac for years now. Recently, the company offered its Mustang range for the offshore markets. For a while now reports have also been emerging that the new Mustang may also be launched in the Indian market. Online sources have managed to capture spyshots of the Mustang GT trim undergoing road test at Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
Under the hood, the Ford Mustang gets a 5.8 Litre V8 petrol engine that is capable of generating about 435 BHP of power with 524 Nm of torque. The powerful engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox that can be shifted conveniently using paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel.
In India, if launched, the vehicle is expected to the ushered in via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. On the external design aspect, the vehicle gets LED tail lamps and fog lamps, and the door mirrors as well as the turn indicators have received hearing functionality. Additionally, the vehicle also gets 4-gauge instrument cluster with chrome accents, and a multi-function steering wheel. In India, the vehicle is likely to be offered with a right-hand drive pattern.
