Italian car-maker Fiat has been renowned in the global market for its performance oriented refined cars across the globe. Post collaboration separation with Tata Motors, the car-maker has been facing with problems in attaining the desired sales numbers. In an attempt to revive its sales and gain a solid footing on Indian grounds, the car-maker had stated its plans to launch its revised fleet this year. On numerous occasions the car has been spotted undergoing road tests across various locations and recent reports indicate that it might be launched sometime soon.
The upcoming Fiat Punto shall be launched in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is stated to be powered by 1.2 Liter and 1.4 Liter engine that generates about 68 Bhp of power with 96 Nm of torque and 90 Bhp of power with 115 Nm of torque respectively. The diesel version is expected to retain 1.3 Liter multi-jet engine that generates about 90 Ps of power. Exact technical specification has not been revealed as of now, and shall be revealed post an official launch expected sometime later this year. The changes this time around are primarily cosmetic. As per sources the hatchback shall sport new designed headlamps, taillights and smart interiors. The production version of Punto hatchbacks expects a bigger and smoother front and rear bumper that adds a smart external appeal to the car.
Recently, the Italian car-maker Fiat has launched the Linea sedan at an attractive price tag of Rs. 6.99 Lakhs. The sedan has been generating quite a good amount of sales numbers, wherein the interested buyers can be seen flocking for the newer version. Fiat has also placed high hopes with the Punto in the hatchback segment. Pricing details are unknown for now and shall probably be known post an official launch by the company.
