Discounts on base Renault Duster variants

Renault is aiming to capitalize on the growing demand for SUVs in India. The company is offering a limited period discounts on the Duster’s base variants. The base 4x2 85 PS RxL diesel trim is now priced at Rs. 9.29 lakh, which is Rs. 40,000 cheaper. On the other hand, the 110 PS RxL AWD variant is now tagged at Rs. 11.69 lakh. This variant is originally priced at Rs. 11.90 lakh, thus offering a direct cash discount of Rs. 61,000.

Adding to it, the company is also offering 2 years of extended warranty and 4 years roadside assistance with the Renault Duster. Currently, the SUV is offered in 14 variants out of which, two are petrol powered. The diesel variant is propelled by a 1.5-litre dCi motor that offers two states of tunes- 85PS and 110PS. While the 110PS variants are paired to a six-speed manual, the lower spec models are coupled to 5-speed manual gearbox. The oil burner is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 20.45 kmpl (85PS variants) and 19.01kmpl (110PS variants).

Its petrol variant is powered by a 1.6-litre unit that is capable of producing 102bhp and 145Nm of peak torque. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine is claimed to return 13.24kmpl of mileage. The company recently introduced the AWD variant of the Duster with 110PS diesel unit. Interestingly, the AWD variant is claimed to deliver 19.72kmpl of fuel economy, which is more than the manual version.
