Chinese industries are not known for their innovation and production in terms of originality. In fact, the Chinese are best known for making excellent copies of products, be it cars, designer bags or mobile phones. With amazing regularity, the Chinese have created a range of cost-effective copies of world class commodities and sell them in various countries around the world. Now, in a recent encore of their consistent habit, a Chinese bike maker has gone ahead to replicate the design of the much-popular MV Augusta Rivale.

A report by Motoroids suggests that a manufacturer in China has copied the design of the MV Augusta Rivale and renamed the bike as YX300C6C. Sources claim that this bike is fitted with a 300 cc engine while the original MV Augusta Rivale has a 798-cc powertrain that delivers a power level of 125 BHP. However, there is no information about the manufacturer who has made this copy.

Surprisingly enough, this company has gone ahead to file patents for this design. Experts believe that this is not the first that it has happened and certainly not the last time that it will. Chinese firms, especially in these industries, do not have a history of producing original designs. They have, in the past, copied the designs of models like Lamborghini Aventador, Range Rover Evoque, Volkswagen Beetle and Hummer H1.
