Bajaj bikes are likely to get expensive by up to 1-2 percent anytime during this month as the final details are being worked out currently. "Input costs have risen considerably. Bajaj had hiked prices of its bikes earlier this year in July owing to the rising steel costs. As commodities get expensive owing to rising markets, steel is again expected to be expensive by another Rs. 500-1000 in coming months. Bajaj Auto is also planning to increase its production during October to 2 million units.

Bajaj Auto has posted sales performance in September 2010. The bikes sales were up 26% at 314,515 in September 2010 as compared to 249,133 during September 2009. The company recorded highest ever motorcycle sales, Highest ever Pulsar sales and Highest ever Discover sales.
