The automated machine has been developed to inspect the vehicle vital components like – suspension, speedometer, PUC checks, headlight aligner and many more. Speaking to sources, Jeevan Bansod, Regional transport officer, said “The main aim of setting up the center is to eliminate human errors while performing the fitness checks. This will result in technically sound vehicles on the road and reduce the chances of accidents.”

About 65 fitness tests are conducted on taxis, autorikshaws, buses and other commercial vehicles. Down the line the facility would be able to handle all the activities with ease. RTO inspectors would also be at the venue to ensure smooth operation. The center is capable of handling about six light and heavy vehicles at any given point in time.
