Audi the luxury car maker might take sometime to enter into the Indian market but the company is trying to make the launch as soon as possible. The company is in plans to launch the new Audi A4 in July in India. Audi is setting up its plant at Shendra, near Aurangabad.

Audi has also inaugurated its fifth showroom in Pune.

In the initial stage the company will be importing the car but the price of the car will be according to the locally assembled car. The company will continue to do this till the time the company does not start assembling the car in India, which will be done by the end of this year.

Audi announces that there will be only one price for the A4 car in the country. The price difference will be absorbed for the CBU (completely built-up) while selling at CKD (completely knocked down) rates since the cars will be locally assembled by the year end.

Audi had reduced the price of the A6 by Rs 2 lakh after it started assembling it locally with this the company hopes to sell 500 units of the new A4 in the first year.

Here in India Audi’s A4 is priced at Rs 28 lakh to Rs 32 lakh range, A6 at Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh range. A8, the luxury model, at about Rs 1.25 crore and Audi’s SUV costs Rs 52.75 lakh.

The company is also launching a roadside assistance program from April 1 where the company will provide with the pick up service from anywhere in the country and take it to the nearest dealer, who will then attend to it which will be done either by the flying technician or from the dealer or from Audi India. Through this program the service would be much faster and safer.
