The German luxury car manufacturer, Audi, reported higher car sales in last ten months of the current calendar year. The company reported an increase of 203 percent in its sales figures in past 10 months. It sold 884 cars from January 2008 to October 2008 as compared to the 292 cars sold in the same period last year. Moreover, Audi car sales rose by 312 percent in the month of October 2008, as compared to the sales in the same month in the previous year.
Audi introduced new models this year and also expanded its dealership network in India this year. It introduced models with 'Vorsprung durch Technik' which also made its model popular amongst the Indian luxury car customers.
Audi A4 and Audi Q7 were the most successful models in the month of October 2008. The company sells Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q7 and Audi TT through twelve dealerships across the country in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi, and Kolkata. The company is also planning to launch its sports model – Audi R8 in India which is already sold out even before it has been launched in the country.
