      Automobile enthusiasts must be delighted to know that three major international auto shows are taking place in November, 2013. Out of the all shows, Tokyo Motor Show is one of the prominent event that many are looking forward to. The biennial auto show is scheduled to get underway from 20th November 2013. Major car companies are expected to mark their presence at the Tokyo Motor Show. However, since the dates of Los Angeles Auto Show are clashing with Tokyo Motor Show, a few European and American brands have kept distance from the Asian event. As the show is expected to be a full house event, car enthusiasts must not miss the action. So to give an overview of what can be expected from the Tokyo Motor Show, an analysis has been carried out.

      Japanese car makers are renowned around the world for their fresh and innovative car designs. At Tokyo Motor Show, the Japan based car makers will be showcasing their skills through the concept cars displays. First talking about Nissan, it is expected to bring the BladeGlider concept at Tokyo Motor Show. The three-seater electric sports car, which is inspired from gliders, looks quite a bit surprising at the first look. However, the company is claiming that it will build a production version of the same. The other most anticipated car for Nissan at the Tokyo Motor Show would its GT-R NISMO. Nissan is expected to release full details of the car and going by reports, it is likely to churn out a massive 595 bhp of maximum power and 650 Nm of peak torque. It is likely that the GT-R NISMO might be the last variant in GT-R series after which the R36 generation of cars might hit the production.

      Coming to a heavyweight of Japanese car market, Toyota, is believed to be showcasing its FV2 concept which happens to be a single occupant vehicle, featuring three wheels. The vehicle would not have any steering wheel and shall be controlled by the shifting of weight by the driver, side to side. Also to mention, the car will use voice sampling and facial recognition, in order to recognise the driver's mood and personal preferences. For Lexus, it is said that the RC sports car might be launched at the Tokyo Motor Show. The coupe is touted to be a gem of car with sportier handling and superb aerodynamics as compared to other same segment cars. In all likelihood, two engine options of RC will be offered by the company, namely the 3.5-litre V6 and 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine equipped with the Lexus Hybrid Drive system. However, the company has not mentioned any details regarding the specifications for these engines but it is said that the former engine will give away 306 bhp of highest power, while the latter shall generate 300 bhp.

      Iconic German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz will be also showing up at the Tokyo Motor Show with its SLS AMG GT Final Edition, touted as the last car in this series. As reported, the company would be manufacturing only 350 units of the same and it would be available in coupe and roadster versions. The sports car of Mercedes-Benz would be powered by the 6.3-litre V8 unit, which will belt out a peak power of 591 bhp alongside a maximum torque of 673 Nm. The engine of the car will be paired to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox to transmit the produced output to its rear wheels.
