Indian Motorcycles, yesterday, launched the 2015 Roadmaster and the 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse at the inaugural event of the company’s dealership in Bengaluru, India. This is the company’s second outlet in India, the first was opened in Delhi last year. While the Roadmaster is priced at Rs. 34.95 lakh, the Chief Dark Horse costs Rs. 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) . Both the bikes share engine and platform with the Indian Chief, which is already on sale in India.
Powering both the bikes is a 1811cc, Thander Stroke 111, V twin, air-cooled engine that delivers a peak torque of 139Nm. Talking about its features, the Roadmaster gets Horizon power windshield with push-button adjustability and ‘desert tan’ leather seats.
The Indian Chief Dark Horse gets some additional features like ABS (anti-lock braking system), electronic cruise control, a monochrome war-bonnet graphic with unpolished finish and remote key fog.The bike also features an individual adjustable floor boards, heated seats and three weather proof hard saddle bags of 140-litres.
Both the bikes get the twin disc brakes and single disc brakes on front and rear axles respectively. Indian Motorcycles is offering 2 years unlimited mileage factory warranty on both the bikes.
