      2016 Auto Expo: Honda BR-V teaser image surfaces

      As the country’s biggest automotive event 2016 Auto Expo is set to unfold, Japanese automaker Honda has released the BR-V teaser ahead of the ahead. The seven-seater vehicle carries forward a lot of components from the Mobilio. To be showcased at the event, the vehicle would be launched later this year. Though the official pricing is not out yet, the vehicle could be offered around Rs 15 lakh.

      The upcoming BR-V would be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim comes with with 1.5-litre engine that generates about 117bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 145 Nm of maximum torque at 4,700 rpm. The engine would be mated to six-speed manual transmission apart from a CVT option. The diesel variant could also get a 1.5-litre engine mated to only six-speed manual gearbox.

      In terms of features, the Honda BR-V would be loaded with integrated touchscreen infotainment system with USB and AUX, Bluetooth, push button start and keyless entry. As for safety it comes with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), SRS airbag, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Hill Start Assist (HAS). More details about the vehicle shall be known in the Auto Expo.
