Tata Motors has launched the 2015 Tata Safari Storme facelift in India at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new Tata Safari Storme facelift has received a few exterior updates and additional features. Though, no mechanical changes have been made to the car.
Coming to the design, the facelifted model features a new honeycomb grille that is said to be inspired by premium international SUV brands. Inside, the car received the Zest-inspired 3-spoke steering wheel, new Harman ConnectNext infotainment system with 6-speakers, Bluetooth hands free, speed dependent volume control, phone book download, audio streaming, central console with silver accents, and parking sensor display. It also gets new ‘Java Black’ seat fabrics.
Under the hood, the Tata Safari Storme facelift continue to feature the 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, VariCOR diesel engine, which is tuned for extra power. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, this engine now churns out a maximum power of 150PS and 320Nm of torque. The SUV is available in 2WD and 4WD (optional on top-end variant) drivetrain options.
