After spilling beans on the Discovery Vision concept, Land Rover has now come up with the 2015 variant of Discovery. The 2015 model year flaunts various upgrades including some of the features borrowed from special edition rolled out to celebrate completion of 25 glorious years of Discovery. 2015 model of Discovery can now be booked, deliveries however will commence effective September this year.
Among the exterior tweaks the most noticeable change is a set of five-spoke XXV 20-inch alloys that come with silver polished finish and option of a number of paints including Montalcino Red, Kaikoura Stone, Aruba and Yulong.
Modifications have been made to the interiors also, presence of two-tone Ebony/Cirrus Windsor leather seats, Grand Black Lacquer wood, new leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Straight Grained Walnut wood trim class up the cabin. Besides these, support for Land Rover InControl Apps is also present for the convenience of the occupants.
2015 Discovery edition is armed with a powerful 3.0 litre V6 supercharged petrol engine that yields a maximum power output of 340 Bhp along with a top torque of 450 Nm. Diesel variants are available in two engine options- a 3.0 litre TDV6 motor generating 211 Bhp of maximum power and a 3.0 litre SDV6 mill belting out 256 Bhp of pinnacle power. A ZF eight-speed automatic transmission is paired to all the three engines, a start/stop system is also equipped in the three motors.
