      2013 Parx Supercar Show ended up on a great note in Mumbai

      The 2013 Parx Supercar Show witnessed the gathering of several sports cars, including the likes of Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Bentley, BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz and Aston Martin. The one-day event started at 10 AM on January 27, 2013 and ended on a successful note at 12:30 PM. However, all the cars were put to display at the Mahalaxmi Race Course, RWITC in Mumbai from January 26, 2013.

      This event was said to be a good opportunity for auto aficionados who loved to experience a number of iconic car models together. The 2013 Parx Supercar Show happened to be the fifth edition of mega event. Reportedly, there were more than 100 supercars at the venue, which included only two models from the country, namely Ferrari 458 GT and Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.

      Expressing his views on the mega event, Gautam Singhania, counted among the country’s pioneering super car aficionados, was quoted as saying, “Since its inception in 2009, the Parx Super Car Show has covered new grounds every year. From being the first and only super car show in India, Parx Super Car Show today has become the forum for leading super car manufacturers to launch their automobiles. While this is indeed a great measure of success for the Super Car Club, what is most gratifying is the increasing number of people who are visiting us. It’s very encouraging to see to more and more people coming to the show, and a correspondingly increasing number of super car owners participating in all our events. In addition to the Parx Super Car Show, the Super Car Club has been organizing expeditions like the Leh-Ladakh expedition, ice-driving expedition and several other drives.”

      The rally started from Mahalakshmi Race Course and featured several important landmarks such as Nariman Point, Marine Drive, Kalina, before regrouping at toll on Sea Link and ending at Race Course. At the end of rally, a prize distribution ceremony was organised. Reportedly, the gold polished Aventador grabbed the title of best looking car at the 2013 Parx Supercar Show.

      Interestingly, the event was on for every individual and there was no participation fee. Aventador LP 700-4 was also present at the event, which was introduced in the country on January 25, 2013 with a price tag of Rs 4.77 crores. The model was said to be the costliest participant at the 2013 Parx Supercar Show. However, there were also several other Lamborghini Aventadors at the event, which were followed by Ferrari and several other models of German trios (BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz).
