I chose to purchase Tata Indigo Marina LS
I chose to purchase Tata Indigo Marina LS version owing to its diesel engine that caters a decent fuel economy. The diesel based engine of this Multi-Utility Vehicle has proven to be quite useful, given the recent price hike in petrol prices. Tata Indigo Marina LS variant is powered with a 1.4-litre Turbo charged diesel engine with 1405cc engine displacement.
The diesel engine has the capacity of generating maximum power of 70 bhp at 4500 rpm and 132 Nm of peak torque at 2500 rpm. With a decent performance, the car maintains a decent mileage as well. I get a city mileage of 12.3 kmpl which goes up to 16.1 kmpl, while driving on highways.
After fuel economy, my major priority was in-cabin features. When I took Tata Indigo Marina LS for a drive for the first time, I was immediately impressed by its sufficient comfort equipment. Several features are air-conditioning system with heating function, power steering, adjustable steering column, front side cup-holder, electronic multi-tripmeter, glove cabinet, digital odometer and much more.
On the downside, advanced safety features do not form a part of Tata Indigo Marina LS. However, I find features like child safety locks, rear seatbelts and side impact beams to be quite favourable for passenger safety.
Therefore, my overall experience with Tata Indigo Marina LS has been satisfactory in almost every aspect.
