I always turn to my Tata Indigo Marina GLX 1.3

12 years ago | Japmeet Marwah

I always turn to my Tata Indigo Marina GLX 1.3 when I decide to go on long-distance trips. I have owned this variant of Indigo Marina for a long time and it is the only vehicle I trust while planning long journeys. Tata Indigo Marina GLX 1.3 not only offers a decent engine performance but also proven its mettle in the fuel economy segment. Powered by a 4 cylinder, 1405cc petrol engine, Tata Indigo Marina GLX 1.3 is capable of generating maximum power of 85 bhp at 5500 rpm and peak torque of 117 Nm at 3500 rpm. In terms of fuel economy, I get a decent mileage of 10.3 kmpl on city roads and 12.8 kmpl on highways. On the other hand, cabin features also have an important role to play especially for driving longer routes. Cabin features available in this variant are not exactly premium class, however, numerous simple features add up to cater a comfortable ride experience. Some of these features include power steering, remote controlled fuel-lid and trunk opening, rear seat headrest and front cup-holders. Moreover, some additional features are low-fuel warning lamp, accessory power outlet, trunk light, rear reading lamp and much more. Tata Indigo Marina GLX 1.3 offers the right combination of features and performance that comes at the reasonable price.

        Whats Good

        Space, Engine, Suspension, Handling

        What Can Improve

Little More Power & Engine Up gradation. Fit & Finish to get an International Touch

TML should improve on Engine ( Petrol & Diesel ) as well as Fit-Finish Front & re launch with fresh looks. When other MPVs are selling this should also sell TML- Marketing & Dealers to take a Positive Approach towards the product & push initially, I am confident that subsequently the market will pull the product.

        Whats Good

The look, shape, mileage, Power window, power steering, boot space for driver and in everything what I expected in a Week end Car.

        What Can Improve

I did not like the company has stopped the production of this model. Front dash board color can be improved.

I would purchase one more Marina for my beloved wife.

every car brand would have pluses and minuses. having said that, i feel marina is safe bet...purely depend upon your usage, model number and year of mfg would determine the cost factor. i have been using Marina petrol for last 4.5 years. I am more than happy...you will find nice leg room...enough space boot to keep tonns of luggage or play field for kids when you are in long run and when you have folded the rear seat. Go ahead man...but don't forget to get the car engine, chasis and alignment checked with known mechanic. And i am sure you gonna check the authenticity of owner as well. All the very best.

I have owned a Tata Indigo Marina LX Dicor for a considerable time period. LX Dicor has managed to successfully cater to my requirements from abundant comfort-driven features to a spacious cargo room. Moreover, being the high-end variant of Tata Indigo Marina, LX Dicor comes with maximum number of features. Comfort features towards the interior include an effective air-conditioning system with heater, adjustable steering column, leather covered steering wheel, digital clock, rear reading lamp, rear seat head rests and remote controlled fuel-lid and trunk opening. Towards the exterior, there are several features that aide to driver's convenience. Some of these features are adjustable headlights, front fog-lamps, manually adjustable outside rear view mirrors, rear window defogger, rear spoiler and much more. For me passenger safety is very important while buying any car. Even though Tata Indigo Marina LX Dicor falls short in terms of advanced safety equipment, there are several features that make up for that. Several safety features include central locking system, power door locking, child safety locks, door, ajar warning signals, side and front impact beams and much more. Tata Indigo Marina LX Dicor has served as a perfect city as well as long journey vehicle. With countless features Indigo Marina LX Dicor is one of the best from its class.

I chose to purchase Tata Indigo Marina LS version owing to its diesel engine that caters a decent fuel economy. The diesel based engine of this Multi-Utility Vehicle has proven to be quite useful, given the recent price hike in petrol prices. Tata Indigo Marina LS variant is powered with a 1.4-litre Turbo charged diesel engine with 1405cc engine displacement. The diesel engine has the capacity of generating maximum power of 70 bhp at 4500 rpm and 132 Nm of peak torque at 2500 rpm. With a decent performance, the car maintains a decent mileage as well. I get a city mileage of 12.3 kmpl which goes up to 16.1 kmpl, while driving on highways. After fuel economy, my major priority was in-cabin features. When I took Tata Indigo Marina LS for a drive for the first time, I was immediately impressed by its sufficient comfort equipment. Several features are air-conditioning system with heating function, power steering, adjustable steering column, front side cup-holder, electronic multi-tripmeter, glove cabinet, digital odometer and much more. On the downside, advanced safety features do not form a part of Tata Indigo Marina LS. However, I find features like child safety locks, rear seatbelts and side impact beams to be quite favourable for passenger safety. Therefore, my overall experience with Tata Indigo Marina LS has been satisfactory in almost every aspect.

I have owned a Tata Indigo Marina GLS for a considerable period of time and would like to share my experience with this car. Indigo Marina GLS successfully caters a blend of class features from a luxury sedan and convenience and space of a Multi-utility Vehicle. One of the aspects that I find most useful is that it provides abundant luggage room towards the interior. Especially towards the rear seat, the car features sufficient space for storing heavy luggage. This abundant space makes it easier for me to travel for longer distances. However, in my opinion the interior is a little short on features. Nonetheless, cabin features like air-conditioning with heater, glove compartment, adjustable steering column, digital clock, folding rear seats and more are available. In addition, features like remote controlled boot opening and remote controlled fuel-lid opening have proven to be very useful. Passenger safety may not be the strongest aspect of Tata Indigo Marina; however, I find a lot of features that cater passenger safety. Some of these simple features include child safety locks, Day and night rear view mirror, passenger side rear view mirror, rear seat belts, side impact beams and engine check warning. Overall, a decent blend of optimum features and engine performance makes Tata Indigo Marina GLS one of the best in its class.
