World's hot racetrack machine the R-25 from Yamaha is due for an official showcase on a global platform in the coming week. The Japanese bike-maker has put up a teaser on their website for the same with a countdown timer being displayed. The video does not provide with detailed information on technical specifications or pricing, but the video is helpful in providing with a good insight as to what is on the cards from the Japanese bike-maker.
The Yamaha R-25 as seen at Tokyo Motor show last year, is expected to be powered by parallel 250cc engine that is capable of generating an astonishing 35 Bhp of max power output. The powerful engine is mated to a six speed gearbox and the bike shall feature a tubular frame structure, thereby making it a sheer performer. Overall, the bike sports an aggressive stance and it also gets an LED assembly at the rear taillight section. It is uncertain if India may receive a similar version.
The teaser put up on the website has been well made and provides with much needed chassis detailing through graphical representation. As per sources, once Yamaha starts mass scale production of R-25 sports bike, it may likely get a smaller air intake and twin headlights. Post launch the power-packed machine from Yamaha is expected to be competing with the likes of Honda CBR300R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming KTM RC200/390.
