Volkswagen Polo has been known in the country as a subtle looking hatchback that delivers refined performance with uncompromising safety standards. Recently, the German car-maker Volkswagen had revealed its plans to launch the newer version of Polo hatchback in India on July 15th, 2014. It is said that, except for the introduction of a newer diesel engine, the Polo shall only receive cosmetic upgrades this time.

Volkswagen is likely to add a new engine in the diesel line up of Polo. Industry insiders opine that a new 1.5 litre, four cylinder, diesel power-train could power the diesel Polo. The new 1.5 litre engine will offer varied power outputs of 80 Bhp and 104 Bhp respectively. High end diesel trims of Polo could get ‘GT TDI’.
