      Updated Honda CR-V 2.4L introduced in India

      Honda Cars India has silently upgraded its flagship product- the CR-V SUV in the country. The company has already updated its official website with the information of the new model . The update is only available for the top-of-the-line CR-V 2.4-litre AT (AWD). The flagship SUV now gets a Smart Entry system with a request button on the front door handle.

      Adding to it, the SUV has a new engine start-stop button that is borrowed from the City sedan. It also gets new infotainment system with a new 7-inch touchscreen display and a six-speaker audio system. The infotainment system comprises of Siri eyes-free voice-recognition, Bluetooth and HDMI Video compatibility, but sadly the car misses out on navigation. It also gets a tonneau cover as standard.

      Under the bonnet is the same 2.4-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that churns out a maximum power output of 190PS and a peak torque of 226Nm. This engine is clubbed to a five-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels of the SUV. The CR-V 2.4 AT is priced at Rs. 25.09 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi.

      Honda will also launch the new-generation model of its premium hatchback - the Jazz - which was discontinued due to its dropping sales. This time around the car will get an all new design and a diesel powertrain.
