The much awaited hatchback Bolt from Tata Motors is finally all set to be launched in the domestic market next week. Based on the HORIZONNEXT philosophy the vehicle is expected to create quite a storm in the hatchback segment in India. As per fresh updates the vehicle is likely to be launched at a lucrative price tag of about Rs 4.25 lakh to about Rs 6.5 lakh.
Tata Motors had even started accepting orders for the vehicle online at a token amount of about Rs. 11,000. An official statement released by Mayank Pareekh, President, passenger vehicle business unit at Tata Motors to sources reads, “With the Bolt, slated for launch on January 22, the company will have another new quality product to add to the sales momentum.” The ABS system by Bosh ensures better braking efficiency.
As a special addition, the Tata Bolt hatchback also gets multi-drive function that indeed positions itself as a strong brand in the hatchback segment. The vehicle is available in petrol as well as diesel trims. The Petrol Bolt trim is powered by 1.2 Liter turbocharged multi-point fuel injection (MPFi) Revotron engine that efficiently generates about 90 PS of power with a peak torque output figure of about 140 Nm. The diesel trim is powered by 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine that is capable of generating about 75 Ps of power with 190 Nm of torque.
