July turned out to be an interesting month for spotting commercial vehicles doing a test round in their pre-production guise. We bring to you the list of top five commercial vehicles which are expected to break cover and go hauling load very soon.

Top five commercial vehicles spotted in July

      Peugeot Partner

The spy shots indicate that the new Partner will be larger in size, although it retains the silhouette and overall styling of the current car. The doors are also bigger to improve ease of ingress and egress as well as cargo loading. We can expect a different set of front grilles, bumpers, headlights and interior layout for the Partner. Expect the van to be unveiled by the end of this year, as a 2018 model.

      Citroen Berlingo

Split headlights and a rounded-off style are clear even on this heavily-camouflaged prototype. The traditional styling of the old Berlingo looks set to be replaced with a more distinctive front end, in keeping with the rest of the current Citroen range. It’s likely the Berlingo will grow in size. It’s not known which of these engines will be installed in the new Berlingo, but the current van is powered by a 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and turbo-diesel engines. Berlingo is expected to be unveiled by the end of this year.

      Ford Tourneo Courier

The Tourneo Courier is a Ford Fiesta-based MPV which boasts of high utility over its hatchback version. The prototype wears a camouflage, however, the spy shots give us a glimpse of the new fascia that the car will receive. The wide trapezoidal grille gets a dash of chrome and the head lamp assembly has been reworked in keeping with the Ford design language. The power source for the new automobile is expected to be the same, 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol and the 1.5-litre Duratorq diesel engines. The Ford Tourneo Courier is expected to be unveiled in the international market in early 2018.

      Ford F-series Super Duty

The revised Ford F-series Super Duty will get a restyled nose, highlights of which include a new grille, revised head lamps and redesigned air dams. Other than these updates and the new tail lamps, the exteriors will be carried over from the current model. The Ford Super Duty truck sits at the top of the company’s truck line-up, and is known for their styling that’s similar to the F-150. The differentiating factor here, though, is the use of more rugged chassis’ and suspension components for better payload capacities.

      International Navistar Medium Duty

This is Navistar's new medium-duty truck, co-developed with General Motors. This vehicle is part of a 2015 deal with Navistar and GM to make a new Class 4-5 truck platform model that will replace the ‘International TerraStar’ and, by default, the old ‘Topkick’ model from GMC. Based on the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD chassis, it gets 8 lugs, a diesel, unique International styling, and a fiberglass hoodshell instead of a hood. A gasoline GM V8 is also expected to be offered. Expect the truck to debut in March 2018.
