      With 2013 inching closer to end, the new year is all set to welcome bike enthusiast with a series of high-octane heavy motorcycles, to be launched in interludes. Primarily, auto aficionados will witness Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj, Yamaha, DSK Motors, Piaggio, BMW Motorrad, Indian Motorcycles and Harley-Davidson, displaying their product range at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014. Furthermore, upcoming months will be packed with new showcases and launches.

      It seems that the domestic two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp will be introducing an array of motorbikes in 2014. Sources have claimed that the company will be launching revamped version of it existing motorcycles, Karizma R and Karizma ZMR. The bikes will be arriving in early 2014 and will flaunt upgraded designing, dynamic outlook and revised power output. The duo will be offered in a price bracket of Rs. 85,000 – Rs. 1.10 lakh. Assisting them later in the same year would be an all new sports bike from the company, called Hero EBR 250. For the development of its sports bikes, Hero has collaborated with Erik Buell Racing (EBR), which happens to be an iconic name among USA's street and racing motorcycle manufacturers. The joint venture has employed next generation styling and technology in this bike to make it an authentic speed cruiser. Also, this performance bike from Hero will come at a competent price of around Rs. 1.4 lakh.

      South Korean bike maker, Hyosung will be re-entering domestic market with its two models, GV250 Aquila and GD250N. While the former is expected to be showcased at Auto Expo 2014 commencing on 7th February, latter would mark its advent later in next year. Hyosung GV250 Aquila will be a cruiser bike, equipped with a 249 cc engine. It is expected to gain acknowledgement among Harley-Davidson followers who eventually cannot pay the hefty price for a two-wheeler. The Hyosung model will however, keep this fan base content with its range, which will be falling around Rs. 1.9 lakh. Hyosung GD250N, on the other hand, will be a 249 cc singly cylinder street fighter with a heavy power output of around 28 bhp. It is expected to be placed under Rs. 1.60 lakh segment.

      Eminent bike maker Bajaj is also geared up to appease its wide customer base. The company's top-notch seller Pulsar model will be arriving in the market in a whole new avatar. The transformed version will be Pulsar 200 SS, equipped with a 200 cc engine, which is expected to develop a decent power output. It is lumped with latest features including sporty ride position, upgraded performance figures and refurbished suspensions for utmost driving comfort. Falling in the range of Rs. 1.10 lakh, the bike will be arriving early in 2014 and is expected to be a game changer for the company in the Indian auto market.

      Tokyo Motor Show recently displayed the concept version of Yamaha R25 and the company is expected to launch its production model in India later next year. Incorporated with a 249 cc engine, the bike seems to be a replica of the auto maker's M1 MotoGP bike. Yamaha R25 is equipped with modern technologies and a high performance engine. Sleek styling and refreshing looks of the bike will tempt bike fanatics and it is anticipated to bear a price tag of Rs. 2.3 lakh. Along with, Honda will be coming up with a new product named CBR 300R. It is likely to replace the ongoing Honda CBR 250R from Indian roads. The bike is expected to arrive in mid-2014 and will come with a hefty price tag of around Rs. 2.5 lakh.

      American bison, Harley-Davidson will be marking the inception of its low-end Street range in India. The range will comprise two models Harley-Davidson Street 500 and Street 750. The duo is expected to be developed at the company's manufacturing plant in Bawal, Haryana. While Street 500 will be incorporated with a 494 cc engine, Street 750 will be equipped with a 749 cc liquid-cooled powertrain. The latter is expected to be priced competitively at around Rs. 5 lakh and will mark its inception in early 2014, whereas former will be arriving late in the same year with a price tag of somewhere around Rs. 4 lakh.
