For most people in India, the name Royal Enfield is synonymous with the model Bullet, just like in the 1990s and early 2000s, Maruti meant Maruti Suzuki M800. Not many know, until they research, that Royal Enfield is the name of a company and it sells other models than the Bullet. In fact, it is also not known that the Electra, though a Bullet in type, is completely different than the Bullet 350. Let’s take a look at what the difference between the two is.

The Royal Enfield Bullet is the basic and most famous model of a moniker that everyone “man” in India wants to own. Oozing, tradition, class and solidity, Royal Enfield Bullet is considered to be an epitome of masculinity in India and anyone riding the model is immediately christened as a tough guy. Though times have changed and women ride the Royal Enfield too but it remains a guy bike entirely. The highlights of this bike are rear mudguard, its legendary silencer and the black tank with motif to make it look period specific.

This model is powered by a Unit Construction engine that has a capacity of 346 cc and is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh. The engine powering Royal Enfield Bullet generates an output of around 19.8 BHP along with peak torque of 28 Nm.

Coming to the Royal Enfield Bullet Electra, it is a more stylised and modern day version of the traditional Bullet, both in terms of looks and technology. Though designed on the same lines, Royal Enfield Electra has an added distinction to it, making the bike look different than its older sibling. Also, the model has been provided with Twinspark Unit Construction Engine that assists in improving its performance and fuel economy. The mechanical configuration remains the same as Royal Enfield Bullet but the bikes are quite different.
